I went to the Renoir’s Exhibition and what I really liked about his work was his brushstrokes, color and movement; however, his female nudes were very muscular and the proportions for most of his paintings were not correct, which I think could have had some meaning for him! I also saw a painting by Pablo Picasso and I loved the way he painted the lady’s hand in huge square shape.
I was never a fan or hater of Renoir and now this Exhibition conforms why! It just sort of boring. The content,and it seems like his paintings were for the masses. Sort of a popularity contest. Not that interesting or different! Sorry Renoir.
