Look at these videos of the Detour project by Moleskine. These are really fun to look at and great inspiration for keeping your own sketchbooks. There both interesting very different ways.
This notebook was really fun to look at. You don't know what's expecting you when you turn each page. If you attach all the pages together you're going to end up with one giant narrative painting.
These are SO cool!! Really makes me want to do one! Maybe we could have it as an assignment to do over the course of a semester. OR, it would be fun to pass the book around to each student for each week and we could do one as a class, then post it on You Tube... Maybe have a theme for the book. We could talk about our sketches and where and when we did them and why. I think that would be very interesting and fun!
