Sweets & Treats: Wayne Thiebaud in the Collection of the Norton Simon Museum

Kyla was talking about the Norton Simon Museum and what a great resource it is. I checked the website and they have a nice little show on Wayne Thebaud's print work which relates perfectly to the black and white paintings that you are working on in the painting I class. These pieces are high in contrast and break down the form of the cakes and deserts that he is depicting much in the same way that I am asking you to do when you "block in" the shapes at the beginning of your paintings.
